every shift based business runs on the same unit of communication everybody in a room once all at the same time which is a problem because your team is never all in the room all at the same time so the message gets repeated and on the fourth repeat it's not even the same message anymore so we replaced the stand-up circle up is a short video of manager records on their phone combined with the files they already have attached to it, and an AI assistant that answers employee questions about it. Your team watches on their own time and asks whatever they personally need to know. Nobody sits through 20 minutes of a meeting to catch the one announcement that applies just to them. A manager's whole job here is two minutes on the phone and attaching the files they already make, the schedule, the prep list, the employee handbook. That's it. nothing to set up, nothing to write. I have two locations now with 34 people. That's 11 different start times, and I'm just one person. I've got three crews, a morning crew, a lunch crew, and a closed crew, and most of them have never even met each other. And I'd have to say the same thing four times in one day because the four people that needed to hear it came in four hours apart. And by the fourth time, well, I'd usually leave something out or forget something. We pay for a group chat app, but there's a... about 200 unread messages and nobody's reading that on a Friday night. For example, the allergen sheet was in there somewhere from March. That's the one that actually kept me up because somebody's guessing about a nut allergy because they couldn't find the answer and didn't want to ask. And I can only stand in one store at a time. The other store I'm guessing, same company, two different ways of doing it, and I'd find out three weeks later the hard way. But now I record it once in the morning with my coffee. Everybody gets it before their shift. closers included and they can listen to it on their way into the shop. They ask the AI instead of asking me and when it doesn't know the answer it pings me and I answer it once and it then remembers my answer the next time someone asks that same question. The really cool thing is my new hires ask it the things that they would never ask me which is most of the things. Now the handbook and the allergen chart are loaded company wide. Ask about a nut allergy at either store you get the same answer. shows you the page it came from. And I can watch my other store circle ups to make sure my managers are on message. I can be at the meeting without actually being at the meeting. I can also see who's watched what and who hasn't. Person by person. That used to be a phone call to ask. We're signing on a third location next week. A year ago, that really scared me. Because a third store meant triple the daily effort to keep everyone on the same page. now it's less effort for triple the staff one rule holds all of this up the ai assistant never answers with a guess if it isn't in the video or your files question goes to a person you and when that person answers the assistant has it for everyone else after them and if it feels like i just described the video you're watching well i did this is a circle up ask it anything below You
