CircleUp — SMS Terms
Source-of-truth for the public-facing SMS terms page at https://circleup.now/legal/messaging. The substantive text (OTP body, opt-out instructions, "Mobile information will not be shared" sentence) MUST remain byte-identical to the carrier-registered campaign content. Do not paraphrase. See docs/phase0-setup.md §1.6.3 for the registered campaign text.
How CircleUp uses SMS
CircleUp sends SMS messages for two purposes only: account verification when a manager signs up, and team-onboarding invitations sent at the request of a manager. We do not use SMS for marketing, promotions, or any other purpose. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Account verification (managers)
When a manager signs up for CircleUp on the mobile or web app, they enter their phone number and receive a one-time verification code by SMS. The message reads:
CircleUp: Your verification code is 123456. This code expires in 10 minutes. Don't share this code. Reply STOP to opt out. Msg & data rates may apply.
Team invitations
When a manager adds an employee to their workspace, CircleUp sends a single SMS invitation to that employee with a link to join. Before sending, the manager attests that the employee is part of their team and has consented to share their number with CircleUp.
Opt-out, help, and rates
You can opt out of all CircleUp SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or email support@circleup.now. Standard message and data rates may apply.
